Beggar

A beggar admires the adorable bounty of his latest raid in a secluded forest, where an unsuccessful clown calls a tent his home.

Concept Art from https://www.artstation.com/twob @ToBey called "Beggar"

I originally began this project in Tyler’s Character Modeling and Sculpting class, where I first discovered my love for character art. At the time, I gave it everything I had. Looking back now, after my growth at Gnomon, I can see how much my skills have evolved. I decided to return to this piece to reflect that progress. Refining it into a version that truly represents my current level and a portfolio piece I can be proud of.

Everything I learned at Gnomon is expressed in this project, and I’m proud to have pushed beyond the artist I was a year ago. At Gnomon, growth often happens quietly, but revisiting this work made that progress clear and tangible.

I am incredibly grateful to have my Instructors push me in my last weeks to graduation. I also want to thank my incredibly talented partner, Ngan Hoang for always supporting me. Without the people I met at Gnomon, I would have never become the artist I am today.
